On Monday 22 May we saw excited Damascus College students from Year 8 in groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 get on the bus and head down to Anglesea Valley Lodge for the first half of the Year 8 camp.
Students divided into groups, where they participate in surfing and canoeing, while the other half went bushwalking and camping overnight at AVL camp bush reserve areas. Students learnt to prepare food and cook it on the campfire. Students hiked back the next day and switched activities with their peers for surfing and canoeing.
Wednesday saw new groups 5, 6, 7 and 8 arrive for their camp experience as the first groups finished up and came home. We trust all students had an enjoyable time at camp and took a lot from the experience.
