Next Gen Art Exhibit

We are excited to inform you that Class of 2022 Finn Maurik’s Unit 3 Artwork Jandamarrah has been accepted for the prestigious Next Gen 2023 exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ballarat.
In his Unit 3 folio, Finn explored the cultural suppression of Indigenous people in Australia. The title “Jandamarrah” refers to the Bunuba warrior Jandamarrah who turned against his European captors and fought a guerrilla campaign against White Settlers in the Kimberley region. The etching is a collection of landscapes within Bunuba territory that represent the ancient landscapes and its untouched quality free from European destruction.
