Damascus College is excited to announce the College VCE Dux for 2022 is Fraser Crumpler, and the VCE/VM Dux is Joshua Matheson.
Fraser scored an ATAR of 99.3 when results were released today, this year he studied the following VCE subjects Specialist Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, French, English Language, Physics, and in 2021 he studied Biology and in 2020 he studied Further Mathematics.
115 Damascus students completed VCE in 2022, with 32 students completing Year 12 VCE/VM, in 2022.
Six students received an ATAR in the high 90’s and 14 students received an ATAR in the 80’s.
Interestingly this year, two sets of twins have scored in the high 90’s, this being Xavier Clonan (96.75), Tristan Clonan (96.4), Brayden Welsh (91) and Harrison Welsh (90.7).
Our VCE College Dux, Fraser said that he hopes to study the Bachelor of Science and Masters of Engineering at the University of Melbourne.
“I am pretty happy about my results; I had put in a lot of hard work so I was expecting a reasonably high score.”
Our VCE/VM Dux, Joshua has been an exemplary student and has scored well on the following transferable employability skills: Communication, Teamwork, Initiative and Enterprise, Technology, Problem-Solving, Planning and Organising and Self-Management.
Joshua is a conscientious and incredibly hard-working student and has recently secured a building apprenticeship with local company RECO Renovation & Construction, with the aim of achieving his goal of becoming a builder.
